Energy

I will fight for an energy policy that takes advantage of the great resources we have in our district and the entire United States. In addition to using coal, natural gas and nuclear power (which will all contribute to significant job gains in our district) we need to press ahead with drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and Outer Continental Shelf.

I will fight every attempt EPA makes to impose a cap and tax scheme on our economy.

And I will stop efforts of an over-reaching Federal government wanting to interfere with Pennsylvania’s development of its Marcellus Shale resource. Washington does not always know better, and Pennsylvania is more than able to monitor its own businesses without interference from an agenda-driven EPA.

It is time to become energy independent and to end the practice of buying energy from those who do not share our values.

Founder’s Corner

"If Congress can do whatever in their discretion can be done by money, and will promote the general welfare, the Government is no longer a limited one possessing enumerated powers, but an indefinite one subject to particular exceptions."

-James Madison

Remembering Reagan

"In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."
